Ragging
Ragging in any form is totally prohibited in Dr. Vikhe Patil Foundation’s Pravara Centre for Management Research and Development.
What is Ragging?
1. Physical, Mental or sexual harassment
2. Verbal abusing
3. Indecent/disorderly conduct
4. Terrorizing by criminal act/threatening in any form
5. Pressuring/forcing to do any act against the will of the individual
6. Financial exploitation
7. Any act that hurts human pride
Any of the above act/s is criminal offence. Anyone found guilty is liable to be punished as per the regulations.
Any student involved in ragging may face the following actions:
- Expulsion from institute
- Withdrawal of scholarship
- Detention from Examination
- Prohibition from Examination
- Prohibition from admission to any education institute
Victim may lodge complaint to anti-ragging committee.
Anti-Ragging Committee
The Anti-Ragging Committee is headed by our Director, Dr. J D. Takalkar. This committee includes representatives from
- Civic and Police Administration,
- Local media,
- An NGO,
- Faculty representatives,
- Parent’s representative (one from juniors and one from seniors)
- Non-teaching staff and
- Student’s representative.

Mentoring Cell
A Mentoring Cell is also being established. For every six first year students, a student from 2nd year will be the mentor. For every 4 seniors a faculty will in turn be the senior mentor. Thus we have 20 senior students identified for the same. They are:

Monitoring Cell
It will formed by the State Government and the affiliating University i.e. University of Pune to coordinate with the institute to monitor the activities of the anti-ragging committee/squad and mentoring cells regarding compliance with the instructions on the incidents of ragging.
Anti- ragging squad
It will be headed by the head of the institute i.e. the Director Dr. J D. Takalkar
He will be assisted by:

-Mr. Benjamin Michael
The squad will maintain vigilance and see that ragging does not take place in PCMRD.
