Dr. Vikhe Patil Foundation’s PCMRD successfully conducted the 2 day State level seminar on “Emergence of Tier-II cities in Maharashtra” on 21st and 22nd Jan’11 at PCMRD.

National Level Seminar 2011
A national level seminar was conducted on 21,22 ans 23rd March 2011. The theme of the seminar was "BUSINESS EXCELLENCE THROUGH INNOVATIVE INDUSTRIAL PRACTICES".The Seminar was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. Dinesh Paliwal Member Secretary NBA, New Delhi in the presence of Dr. Vikhe Patil Foundation's Trustee and Secretary Prof. Manoj Narwade and the Director of DRVPF's Pravara Centre for Management Research and Development Dr. J D Takalkar. The inaugural function itself turned out to be a discussion forum on the topic of the seminar. The Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz – Destination Sweden was held at our Instititute on the 26th September, 2010. Mr. Dag Sjoogren was present from the Embassy of Sweden. Mr. Kunal Sawarkar and Mr. Ashutosh Silmana were present from QuizCraft. Mr. Sawarkar was the quiz master. Details
Induction Programme MBA 2010-12
Dr. Vikhe Patil Foundation’s, PCMRD (Pravara Centre for Management Research and Development) Pune had organized a one day induction programme for the new batch MBA 2010-12 at the Seminar Hall on 18th August 2010. The session started with the inaugural address by the Hon’ble Trustee and Secretary, Prof. Manoj Narwade.The Chief Guest for the day was Hon’ble Mr. Santosh Hegde, Director, KSH Drishti Park Pvt Ltd. He provided an insight on the future prospects that an MBA graduate has in Industry. Our very first Student’s Magazine – “WOW” was also launched on this apt occasion. Details
Shikhar 2010
“SHIKHAR 2010”, the Three-Day Intra-Institute event was held on 27th, 28th and 29th October 2010. The programme was successfully coordinated by Prof. Anagha Kalay and the entire team of PCMRD. There were a number of cultural, management and sports events spread over three days of sheer enthusiasm, cooperation and active participation by all students. The event was inaugurated by Mr.Ram Krishna Chaganti, Human Resources , Forbes Marshall Ltd. who enthralled the audience by his personality and had a great interaction with the students. Mr. Ram Krishna inaugurated the “Shikhar Trophy” which is the student’s pride and also the stalls put by our budding entrepreneur students. He inaugurated the Sports events by playing a small match with PCMRD students Cricket Team. The Opening Ceremony was graced by the Hon. Joint Secretary – Mrs. Nandini Charles and the Director of PCMRD – Dr. J D Takalkar.
Freshers Party 2010
Lao Tzu says “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” so did the beginning of the academic year 2010-2011. It kick started with the year’s 1st event in the form of an Induction programme for the Juniors of MBA I, later on continued with the Teachers Day celebration and finally came to the FRESHERS PARTY. Freshers Party is recognised as an event which brings out the hidden talent among the juniors and gives them a platform to display their abilities, talents and skills to battle it out for the title of Mr. & Ms Fresher. Faculty Developement Programme
Under the able guidance of Director, Dr. J D. Takalkar, a one-day FDP on the topic “Case Methodology of Teaching” was held in the PCMRD campus on 10th November 2010. It was conducted by Prof. Sumit Roy. Prof. Sumit Roy is an educator and a coach for Executives in the field of Leadership Development. He provides corporate mentoring for Executives at middle and senior levels. He is certified jointly by Stanford University and IIM Bangalore/NEN on Entrepreneurship Education. He is also a Certified Trainer from Indian Society for Training and Development. He has conducted around 150 corporate workshops/ trainings on management topics and inspirational programs for executives at a middle and top level. He is certified in case method of training by the Case Research Society of India. He is the Co founder of Veridical Consultancy – that deals with Leadership Assessment and Trainings. Details
