The small and medium enterprises are the backbone of India’s economy. With millions of enterprises spread across the length and breadth of the country, they are among the biggest source of non-farm employment and accounts for nearly 40 per cent of the country’s manufacturing output and merchandise exports.
Multiple researches have shown that entrepreneurs have to fight against all odds for the survival of the business. Many factors such as limited access to information, procedures, government rules and regulations, finance, skills and expertise and most importantly guidance plays a major threat to the growth of an enterprise and in-turn affects the economy. Hence it becomes paramount to analyze the problems, issues and challenges faced by the entrepreneurs, while pursuing their business.
