Entrepreneurship is the dynamic process of creating incremental wealth. The wealth is created by individuals who assume the major risks in terms of equity, time and career commitment or provide values for some product or service.
The small and medium enterprises are the backbone of India’s economy. With millions of enterprises spread across the length and breadth of the country, they are among the biggest source of non-farm employment and accounts for nearly 40 per cent of the country’s manufacturing output and merchandise exports.
Multiple researches have shown that entrepreneurs have to fight against all odds for the survival of the business. Many factors such as limited access to information, procedures, government rules and regulations, finance, skills and expertise and most importantly guidance plays a major threat to the growth of an enterprise and in-turn affects the economy. Hence it becomes paramount to analyze the problems, issues and challenges faced by the entrepreneurs, while pursuing their business.

how opportunities were tapped by them.
Dr. Vikhe Patil Foundation’s Pravara Centre for Management Research and Development successfully conducted the State Seminar on ‘Entrepreneurship in Maharashtra – Opportunities and Challenges’. The seminar was held in the Campus on 8th January 2018.
Six resource persons were invited to speak on different dimensions of the theme. The State Seminar commenced with Dr. Divya Lakhani, Convener, welcoming the Guests and the Participants.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Madhukar Musale, Musale Promoters and Builders, inaugurated the Seminar. It was followed by the address of Keynote speaker Mr. Prashant Nimbhalkar, Founder, World wide Makers.
